association-football-the-men-who-made-it-4-volumes-1905

Association Football & The Men Who Made It, by Alfred Gibson and William Pickford, Caxton Publishing Company, 1905, in four volumes. I would describe it as a good set, with the interior being very good. There is bumping to the tops and bottoms of each spine and the corners of the front and back covers; there are scratches to the bottom cover of Vol.3 (see picture); there is the beginning of a split to the interior binding behind the title page in Vol.4. However, overall the set is sound, intact and profusely illustrated (over 100 full page photographs of teams, individual portraits and action shots from international and cup final games, together with an equal number of quarter page and half page illustrations in the text itself).
