Cochrane's final two international appearances were in season 1983-84 against Scotland in the Home International Championship and v Finland, as a substitute.

The Wales match took place at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham, 19th October 1946 and ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Scots. On the 27th November 1946 at Hampden Park Scotland played out a goalless draw against the Irish.
