An 1899 Italian National Football Championship runners-up medal awarded to a player from Internazionale Torino, silver, inscribed CAMPIONATO NAZIONALE, 1899, the reverse inscribed FOOTBALL.
White & blue ribbon The 1899 Championship consisted of the same four teams that competed in the inaugural competition the year before.
The format was two challenger rounds based on the 1898 results for the right to play reigning champions Genoa in the final. On 2nd April the previous year's defeated semi-finalists played in the 1st qualifier. Ginnastica Torino defeated FBC Torinese 2-0 (aet) to play the 1898 runners-up Internazionale Torino on 9th April. A repeat of the inaugural final was then determined as Internazionale beat Ginnastica 2-0. In the final played on 16th April Genoa retained their crown defeating Internazionale Torino 3-1.
